Weekly Work Roundup – Dec 8

Project #1: This particular client had an e-commerce website and wanted us to check the entire site for security leaks.  After performing an in-depth security scan there were several vulnerabilities found on the website.  They are currently working with their host in order to rectify some of the remaining issues at the hosting level.

Project #2: In this project we were sub-contracted by a graphical designer who wanted us to take their PSD, slice it to XHTML and ultimately add in the WordPress framework.  There were 13 unique PSD’s which needed to be sliced and images saved in the most efficient manner to assist in page load times.  In the end, there were several page templates created in order to support the design along with custom post types.  A large, interesting and successful job.

Project #3: Another large and on-going project.  This project is currently under an NDA.  However, what can be disclosed is it is an e-commerce website with a unique twist.  We’ve been required to code everything from scratch and not use any type of 3rd party CMS such as WordPress, Joomla, etc.  For this project we have chosen to use Codeigniter as the PHP framework to ensure a fast, responsive website.  Design, admin area and front end are all be developed simultaneously.
